"Having done a bit of research on the internet I decided to go ahead and have Vaser Lipo on my lower and upper abdomen. I had one consultation at a well known Harley Street clinic and a second with Dr Brookes. All that I can say is that after my appointment with Dr Brookes I had absolutely no hesitation but to choose her to perform the surgery and booked the operation immediately! She was so thorough with her examination and extremely realistic with her expectations of the outcome of the surgery advising me to only have my lower abdomen done and not the upper as the other clinic had suggested. This proved to be completely the right decision as it would have been totally unnecessary and very costly.

The op was performed at the fabulous Guildford Hospital Nuffield Health. Dr Brookes made me feel completely at ease explaining everything she was doing as she went along. We chatted all the way through and it was nowhere near as uncomfortable as I had expected. Before I knew it it was all over and I was being fitted into that dreaded garment that was to be with me for the next 6 weeks....actually I got quite attached to it and was reluctant to remove it when my time was up. 24 hours post op was slightly uncomfortable but after that I improved day by day exactly as Dr Brookes said. The final results are amazing. Together with a sensible diet and regular exercise the Vaser treatment removed 4.5 inches around my waist, which is far more than I expected.

"Ever since I can remember, I've always had a very slim upper frame and wider hip/bottom area, but I have always been my recommended weight even after having two children. No matter how much exercise and dieting I did, I could never shift the stubborn fatty area known as "The Saddlebags". It really was a last resort for me to seek medical help, however when I met Dr Brookes at my consultation, she immediately put a smile on my face. "I had heavy saddlebags at the top of my thighs and have wanted Liposuction for years. I have attended various appointments, but have never had any procedure for fear of pain, bruising and an uneven result. I had the consultation with Dr B. Brookes. "Late last year I consulted Dr Brookes about having treatment to the tops of my hips (muffin tops) and to the outer legs (saddlebags). At the time Dr Brookes performed Smartlipo but did not recommend this to me for these areas as she felt the Smartlipo laser was not sufficiently powerful and the areas would be quite tough. I waited until the Vaser service at Dr Brookes' clinic was established and had the procedures earlier this year.
It was evident from the early weeks that the "muffins" had responded well, and it clearly showed in the way my clothes fitted. Spurred on now, two months later I had a similar treatment for the saddlebags. This area bruised much more , but once again within a few weeks the improvement was visible and noticeable to others and has made a difference to my overall confidence. I feel my torso and lower half are more proportionally balanced. The procedure itself is reasonably well tolerated; yes, there is discomfort afterwards and the garment can be a nuisance but when Dr Brookes asked me if I felt the outcome justified the expenditure I was able give a resounding "Yes" !!. I would recommend this treatment to others who are fit and healthy but unable to shift very stubborn areas of fat through diet and exercise.

"I have a slim shape but all my life the little humps on the side of my legs (the size of a large fist) rather unflatteringly named "saddlebags" have bothered me. They interfered with the shape of my clothes and no amount of exercise would reduce them.Last year I had the Smartlipo procedure but the fat was very firm and the result was disappointing. When Dr Brookes told me about Vaser and that it was superior to Smartlipo and dealt with this firm fat well I was very interested. The procedure was very straight forward and not really uncomfortable.
I was quite bruised for a few weeks but it has been worth it for the final result. The two stubborn humps have well and truly disappeared.I felt well looked after during my procedure and fully informed. I would recommend this procedure to anyone with a similar problem!
