Smartlipo with suction/aspiration

This procedure is now offered as standard in most Smartlipo procedures. As greater understanding has developed with this technique it is deemed to be more beneficial for quicker, more effective and more consistent results.

The lasered fat liquefies and some of this “lysate” is aspirated out at the end of the procedure on particular area. It takes an additional 5-10 minutes. There is a need to have a slightly larger incision 2-3 mm to accommodate this process. Please note this aspiration has a passive function to suck out released lysate and not a more aggressive functions associated with conventional liposuction. If you specifically do not want this applied or if Doctor Brookes thinks it is not clinically appropriate to perform it, this will be discussed at consultation. Please note bruising and swelling is more likely even with the least invasive cannulae.

I had SmartLipo on my knees by Dr. Brookes and have been delighted with the result. The contours of the knees is much improved with less fatty tissue on the inside. So much so that 3 months late I underwent Smartlipo to the inner thighs.
