Since then many other treatments have found their way from main stream medicine into the cosmetic arena, such a Sculptra® a unique facial volumizer highly valued by patients over forty to restore youthful volume, chemical peels and lasers of many guises.

A particular innovation developed for the cosmetic industry though is the application of Radiofrequency to induce skin tightening in a controlled way. Our particular favourite piece of technology is the Accent RF, a powerful device that can be used on the face and body which really can make a difference; no not equivalent to surgery but for a treatment without the scalpel, with no down time and at an affordable price many patients have felt very happy with the improvements made.

Technology assisted Liposculpture is the removal of stubborn areas of fat remains one of the most popular procedures worldwide. However, the original techniques of liposuction were fairly basic and not always giving favourable results. A new area has evolved in the last 10 years which has been made possible as we can perform these new procedures using laser ( Smartlipo® by Deka ) and ultrasonic VASER® the very latest technology to destroy fat cells smoothly, as walk –in- walk out procedure under special local anaesthetia which avoids the need for general anaesthetic and hospital stay.
