The VASER Liposelection facility will be available at The Guildford Hospital Nuffield Health from October 2009. This will be the first VASER system in a private hospital setting and patients will be able to enjoy the same facilities as those patients who had the Smartlipo treatment with us.

This is a purpose built operating theatre suite, with separate changing and recovery rooms. VASER technology allows walk-in, walk-out treatment of  deposits of stubborn fatty areas to be removed in one sitting. Skin retraction is good and sometimes impressive. Patients who may have been borderline for abdominoplasty may now be eligible for this procedure. The fat is broken down by ultrasonic waves using probes placed into the fatty tissue through small incisions (5mm). After this the fat is removed through suction. Using Restylane Sub Q cheekbone enhancement, chin augmentation, that is bony structures requiring enhancement. Not all patients are suitable for this procedure*, a proper discussion is required as to your expectations. A local anaesthetic is needed. An understanding of facial symmetry is needed, enhancing the cheekbones can balance a large jaw or prominent chin or refine a flatter face without much definition.

The results can be striking and last in excess of nine to twelve months. In the recent past these types of procedure required a surgical implant so with the benefit of technology this has moved on hugely.
