Crepey Skin

The surface of the skin is described as crepey when there are several fine wrinkles which make the skin look papery and thin i.e., like crepe paper.

This is a sign of premature aging that occurs with dry skin, sun damage and smoking or diet. There may be other signs of damage such as sun spots, uneven pigmentation or solar keratosis.

The most commonly affected areas are:

• The face- the cheeks, the eyes and around the lips
• The neck - a fold of loose skin can occur at the front and look aging
• The décolleté – crepey skin and tram lines between the busts develop
• The hands - loss of fat and a bony appearance occurs.

There is no substitute for a general consultation to establish the extent of damage, your skin type and medical background.

These areas can be treated separately and you do not have to have full facial treatment if some areas need more attention than others. A more radical one off treatment means more down time, whereas softer treatments over two to three sessions mean less down time on each occasion.

A superbly light filler which is injected a a specific depth in the dermis. This unique filler attracts water molecules. The injection process stimulates healing. Usually three treatments every four to six weeks are recommended. This can be combined with either Dermaroller or Laser, or as a standalone treatment. Local anaesthetic crème is applied to any of the above areas, as it can be uncomfortable.

We would recommend then using HYLAGEL 15% hyaluronic acid serum to further help intense hydration, followed by ADVANCED RE 9 ARBONNE facial regime thereafter.

A good way of refreshing the surface of the skin can be done as a one off treatment or e treatment – usually three are needed with a minimum six weeks in between.
